A bridge to Stockholm: Tech Mahindra's Tryst with a Swedish Customer

Mahindra British Telecom (MBT) was incorporated in 1986. MBT was awarded with ISO 9001 certification by BVQI in 1994. In 1995 MBT established its UK branch office to expand its business and in 2006. The company’s name was changed to Tech Mahindra Limited (TechM). It raised Rs 4.65 billion ($100 million) from a hugely successful IPO to build a new facility in Pune, to house about 9,000 staff. In 2009, TechM acquired a controlling stake in Satyam, an IT software and services company and rebranded it as 'Mahindra Satyam' (Msat).
